Sluggers Takes on the Waste Management Open: Arizona Mini Blunts Make Their Debut

There are sporting events… and then there’s the Waste Management Open.
As one of the largest sporting events in the United States, the WMO isn’t just a PGA Tour stop — it’s a full-scale cultural moment. Stadium energy. Nonstop crowds. A city-wide celebration of sport, spectacle, and experience.
And this year, Sluggers was right in the middle of it.

Before we ever stepped foot near the fairways, our team was on the ground across Arizona — hitting 11 Curaleaf locations in and around Phoenix to build momentum around something big: the launch of our Arizona Mini Blunts, exclusively available through Curaleaf.
- Every visit was about more than distribution.
- It was about visibility.
- Education.
- Excitement.
We trained staff, connected with budtenders, set up merchandising, and made sure every location felt the energy of the launch. By the time tournament weekend arrived, the market was primed.
Then we headed to the “19th hole.”

Across the Street from the Madness
Curaleaf’s 19th Hole event, located directly across from the Waste Management Open, became one of the most dynamic activation spaces of the weekend.
After wrapping our store visits, we went straight into setup mode. And once the doors opened, it didn’t stop.
A constant sea of people streamed into the 19th hole. Golf fans. First-time cannabis customers. Locals. Out-of-towners. The energy was nonstop.
The dispensary was transformed into a full-scale party:

Pick-up and drop-off locations were placed inside and around the dispensary, keeping new faces shuttling into the experience all day long. It wasn’t just foot traffic — it was a flow.

Amid all the excitement, one trophy stood out: the official launch of our Mini Blunts in Arizona.
Exclusively available through Curaleaf, the Mini Blunts quickly caught the attention of both staff and customers new to the Sluggers brand. The format, the branding, the approachability — it resonated immediately.
