A Weekend to Remember at Fenway

Every once in a while, there's a weekend that reminds you why you love what you do.

For us at Sluggers, Phish's return to Fenway Park wasn't just another concert weekend—it was a celebration of community, creativity, and cannabis, all happening right in our own backyard.

Just steps from Fenway Park, we teamed up with our friends at New Dia to host PhanArt at New Dia, transforming the dispensary into a vibrant gathering place for fans before and after both nights of music. Dozens of artists filled the space with incredible work inspired by the Phish community, while thousands of fans flowed through the doors over the course of the weekend. The energy was undeniable.

    More Than Just a Concert

Anyone who has spent time around a Phish show knows it isn't simply about the music. It's about the people.

Fans travel hundreds—and sometimes thousands—of miles to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, trade stories, collect artwork, and share in an experience that feels bigger than any single concert. Walking through Lansdowne Street this weekend, you could feel that spirit everywhere. Smiles came easily. Conversations started with strangers. Complete strangers became friends over a shared favorite jam, an artist's print, or simply the excitement of being back at Fenway together.

There is something uniquely special about the overlap between the Phish community and cannabis culture. Both have always been rooted in connection, appreciation, and slowing down long enough to enjoy the moment. Whether someone came looking for music, art, or simply a place to hang before the show, New Dia became a welcoming hub where those worlds naturally came together.

That was exactly what made this partnership feel so authentic.

Building Community, One Conversation at a Time

Throughout the weekend, our team had the opportunity to introduce thousands of visitors to Sluggers. We handed out merchandise, hosted giveaways, talked through our lineup of premium infused pre-rolls and blunts, and, most importantly, met some truly incredible people. We spoke with fans from across New England, the West Coast, the Midwest, the South, and everywhere in between. Some had been following Phish for decades. Others were seeing their very first show. Every conversation reminded us that great cannabis brands are built one genuine connection at a time.

One of our favorite parts of the weekend wasn't necessarily talking about products—it was hearing people's stories.

    Where had they traveled from?

How many shows had they seen?

What was the song they were hoping to hear?

Those conversations are what make weekends like this unforgettable. Cannabis has always had a remarkable ability to bring people together, and over these two days we saw that happen over and over again. Fans weren't rushing through the dispensary. They lingered. They admired artwork. They laughed. They shared recommendations. They welcomed newcomers into the community with open arms.

That's exactly the kind of environment we want Sluggers to be a part of.

Hosting PhanArt inside New Dia also highlighted something we believe strongly: dispensaries can be so much more than retail stores. They can become gathering spaces that celebrate local artists, musicians, and culture while creating meaningful experiences for the communities they serve.

Watching the space come alive with artwork, conversation, and excitement was something special.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without our incredible partners at New Dia, led by Jordan Mackenzie Whittaker and Mike Whittaker of The Weedaker Group, Benny Tucker of Secret Sessions Boston, and Pete and the team at PhanArt. Collectively, the teams embraced the vision from day one and helped create an experience that felt welcoming, organized, and genuinely fun for everyone who walked through the door. It's partnerships like these that continue pushing cannabis culture forward in thoughtful and authentic ways.

The excitement surrounding Phish's return to Fenway was impossible to ignore. Reports noted that New Dia experienced one of its busiest weekends of the year, rivaling even 4/20 crowds, as fans poured into the neighborhood before the shows. But despite the massive turnout, what stood out most wasn't just the volume of people—it was the overwhelmingly positive atmosphere they created together. The music brought everyone to Fenway, but the sense of community kept the energy alive all weekend long.

    Until Next Time

As the final notes echoed through Fenway Park and the crowds slowly made their way home, we couldn't help but feel grateful.

Grateful to every person who stopped by our table and played some pool!

Grateful to everyone who scored a piece of merch and shared their love of the nostalgia!

Grateful to every artist who helped transform the space into something memorable.

And grateful to everyone who reminded us why events like this matter.

Weekends like these are about more than selling products. They're about building relationships. They're about celebrating creativity. They're about supporting local businesses and artists while welcoming visitors from all over the country into our city. Most of all, they're about creating moments that people will remember long after the last encore.

To everyone who came through PhanArt at New Dia, thank you for making this one for the books.

Until next time—keep the music playing, keep supporting creators, and we'll see you at the next adventure.
